Project Description
The objective of the project is to minimize flooding and manage stormwater at the Wawona St. neighborhood close to 15th Ave., by installing a wet weather/auxiliary sewer from on Vicente St., from the intersection of Vicente Street and Wawona Street to 34th Avenue. In addition, the construction project installs a new water transmission main and replaces aging water distribution mains on Vicente Ave. The work also includes various street base restoration and paving.  The work is to be performed in San Francisco, California. 

This Contract requires Bidder to successfully complete a pre-qualification process issued by the SFPUC prior to submitting a bid.  SFPUC will only consider bids from Contractors who have successfully completed the pre-qualification process for the applicable category of work, as posted at https://sfwater.org/bids/bidList.aspx?bidtype=1.   The applicable pre-qualification category for this Contract is RFQ for WW-711.

There will be no bid discounts for this contract.  The LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement is 10.00% and ONLY San Francisco (Local) Small & Micro-LBEs can be utilized to meet this requirement (Firms certified by SF Contract Monitoring Division).  SFPUC-LBEs cannot be utilized to meet the 10.00% LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement. The LBE subcontracting participation requirement is 10.00% is due to high a degree of specialty work involved in this contract and the lack of availability of LBE for those items. The specialty work for this contract includes tunneling operations and corrosion protection work.  Please contact Linda Rainaldi at (415) 554-3106 for further information.  Subcontracting opportunities may include, but not limited, to the following major types of work: earthwork and paving, pipeline, trucking and hauling, and traffic control.  Please refer to Section 01 60 00 in the Specifications regarding the purchase of equipment to achieve the LBE subcontracting participation requirement.

Documented attendance in the teleconference pre-bid meeting will satisfy this requirement.  Bidders must achieve at least 80 points (out of a possible 100 points), as determined by CMD, to be deemed compliant with the “Good Faith Outreach” requirements, except those who exceed the above stated LBE subcontracting participation requirement by 35% under Section 14B.8(B) of the Administrative Code.
