The evaluation process is complete. The apparent selected Proposer is Charles Pankow Builders, Ltd.
San Francisco Public Utilities announces a Request for Qualifications and Proposals (“RFQ/P”) inviting California Class “B” General Building Contractors to simultaneously submit their qualifications for evaluation and submit a Proposal in response to this RFQ/P to perform pre-construction and construction services for Contract No. WW-682 – Southeast Community Center At 1550 Evans, using the Construction Manager/General Contractor project delivery method. Interested parties responding to this RFQ/P must be construction manager/general contractors capable of performing pre-construction services and building construction services.
Work shall comply with all applicable codes and regulatory agencies’ standards having jurisdiction over the design, construction and operation of the Project. The scope of work is to include analysis and coordination to develop a strategy and check-list to achieve a minimum U.S.G.B.C. LEED Gold certification for the Project. The total project construction cost is estimated to be in the range of $72,000,000-$75,000,000. The Estimated Total Direct Construction Cost is $64,250,000.
A Pre-Submittal Conference is scheduled via teleconference (Phone Number 877-336-1829, Participant Code 554-1601). Additionally, a meeting room is available to participate in the teleconference at the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission Administration Building, 525 Golden Gate Avenue, 2nd Floor, Yosemite Conference Room, San Francisco, California, 94102, and will be facilitated by SFPUC project staff. For rapid access to the meeting room, please rsvp to qbd@sfwater.org. Questions regarding the RFQ&P may be addressed at this conference and any new information will be provided at that time. While City staff may provide oral clarifications, explanations, or responses to any inquiries, the City is not bound by any oral representation. If any new and/or substantive information is provided in response to questions raised at the pre-submittal conference, it will be memorialized in a written addendum to this RFQ&P.
The Site Visit was held for Contract No. WW-682 and none is planned for Contract No. WW-682R. If necessary, an additional Site Visit may be arranged by contacting qbd@sfwater.org.
