The objective of the project is to replace or slipline approximately 240 LF of the North Shore Force Main with new HDPE pipes, construct one new underground valve vault on piles, furnish and install new valves, controls and other mechanical and electrical equipment in the new valve-vault and replace equipment in an existing underground valve-vault, install aboveground electrical pedestal and controls, relocate conflicting utilities, perform traffic controls and optional traffic detour, and complete other related work on the Embarcadero Roadway, between Washington and Broadway Streets in San Francisco, CA. The work is to be performed in San Francisco, California.
Bid discounts may be applied as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B. The LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement is 20.00% and ONLY San Francisco (Local) Small & Micro-LBEs can be utilized to meet this requirement (Firms certified by SF Contract Monitoring Division). SFPUC-LBEs cannot be utilized to meet the 20.00% LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement. Please contact Vivian Liu at (415) 551-4814 for further information. Subcontracting opportunities may include, but not limited, to the following major types of work: saw cutting, excavation, trucking, concrete work, asphalt and concrete paving and traffic control. Please refer to Section 01 60 00 in the Specifications regarding the purchase of equipment to achieve the LBE subcontracting participation requirement.
