Dive into the "Our Water" curriculum and explore San Francisco’s local water supply. This interactive workshop will introduce you to the "Our Water" unit that teaches about water use during the Gold Rush days; the Hetch Hetchy Water System; the water cycle; water conservation; and the many uses of water throughout California. Filled with user friendly fact sheets, lesson plans and fun activity sheets, this unique unit is a great teaching resource! Aligned with CA State Standards.
All attendees will receive the "Our Water" unit plus a slide presentation for your class. Additional resources such as free field trips, posters, and classroom presentations will be offered.
In return, we ask you use at least one lesson plan and fact sheet during this school year and give us feedback on your experience.
Register online by January 22. Space is limited.
