The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission is responsible for the installation, maintenance and operation of the City’s thirteen municipal solar installations as well as its future, small, in-line hydroelectric generating facility. In total, the eleven solar energy facilities can generate up to 7.2 megawatts of energy. Currently, Power is actively planning and preparing for the installation of additional solar and small, in-line hydroelectric facilities.
