After accessing the link, Applicants will be directed to a BuildingConnected Public Plan Room where Applicants will find the RFQ packages and instructions on how to download the RFQ documents. Applicants shall submit statements of qualifications to MWH/Webcor via BuildingConnected Website NO LATER THAN December 3rd, 2020.
This work will be performed at the Southeast Treatment Plant. This is an operating wastewater plant with extensive above- and below-grade infrastructure that must remain in continuous operation at all times. A brief description of the work and cost range for each package is:
T-05.02 – Miscellaneous Metals Supply and Installation Package #1
Supply and installation of all secondary steel, miscellaneous and decorative metals, whole and complete for Facilities 600/ 610/ 615 and 661 at a minimum the entirety of the BDFP works and as otherwise described. It includes:
• Metal stairs and gratings, including trench drain grating and stair treads;
• Metal fabrications including sidewalk doors to be installed by Others;
• Aluminum railings and pipe and tube rails
• Anchor bolts, packing, shimming and grouting where required by this package;
• Decorative metal and wire rope decorative metal railings;
• Glass fiber reinforced plastic (grating and stair treads, structural platforms, handrails, ladders and cages, hatch covers, access door covers and inlet flange inserts).
• Installation and/ or modification of free-issue equipment and materials such as portable gantry cranes, jib cranes and davit cranes.
T-07.01 – Waterproofing Supply and Installation Package #2
Supply and installation of below grade foundation waterproofing and seismic joints at Facility 600, 610, 615, 661 and Trench H including all related and ancillary items necessary to meet manufacturers, waterproofing consultants and SFPUC approval.
T-14.01 – Vertical Transportation Design, Supply and Installation
Design, supply and installation of elevator systems, whole and complete for the entirety of the BDFP works and as otherwise described. Includes:
• Two 5,000lb electric traction Machine Room Less (MRL) passenger elevators;
• One 17,000lb electric traction service elevators;
T-21.01 – Fire Suppression Services Design, Supply and Installation
Design, supply, installation and commissioning of site wide fire suppression services, whole and complete for all BDFP facilities. The Fire Suppression/Sprinkler Packages are design build systems with submittals and approval/inspections by SFFD.
T-22.01 – Area and Building Services Plumbing and Installation Package #1
Supply, installation and testing of all area and building services and miscellaneous plumbing, including all embedments, cast-ins and associated connections for the BDFP facilities.
T-22.02 – Area and Building Services Plumbing and Installation Package #2
Supply, installation and testing of all area and building services and miscellaneous plumbing, including all embedments, cast-ins and associated connections for the BDFP facilities.
Applicants who pre-qualify as Bidders are hereby notified that work to be performed under this contract will be in full or in part financed by the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (SRF), administered by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) and the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB), and the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA), also administered by the US EPA.
Applicants who pre-qualify as Bidders are required to seek, and are encouraged to use, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) for their subcontracting and procurement needs. These requirements apply to all subcontracts for equipment, supplies, construction, and services. The SFPUC has adopted the following Fair Share Objectives for participation of DBEs in this SRF funded project. These are project-wide participation goals that the Contractor may seek to meet:
1. 5.6% MBE
2. 1.2% WBE
The project wide goal for Local Business Enterprise participation for the Project is 12% of the Contract Sum. The Local Hiring Goal for the Construction Phase of the Project is 30% and 50% for apprentices for each trade. In accordance with California Labor Code Sections 1771.1 and 1725.5, no contract can be awarded to a Bidder without proof that the Bidder and all identified subcontractors are currently registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations.
