The Exhibit A / Bid Forms have been revised for 3-20 Miscellaneous Metals and 3-38 Mechanical and Underground. The modification for 3-20 was to update the Bid Date only. The bid date was also updated on 3-38 but additional language was added to make clear that the Odor Control and HVAC systems installation is not included in that scope. ADVERTISEMENT FOR SUBCONTRACTOR PROPOSALS
Subject to conditions prescribed by the City and County of San Francisco, CA responses to this bid request are sought from subcontractors for Miscellaneous Metals, Elevators, Process Piping and Process Equipment installation, Overhead Cranes, Horizontal Pumps, Mechanical Fine Screens, Screening Washer and Compactor, Screening Washer Compactor, Screening Shuttle Hopper, Grit Storage Hopper, Odor Control Equipment, and Hydraulic Power Unit.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The intent of this project is to replace the existing Headworks Facility at the SE Water Pollution Control Plant with a new all-weather 250 MGD Headworks Facility. This is solicitation 3 for Scope III New Headworks Construction.
SCOPE / DRAWINGS:
The drawings for Scope III are included in the Plan Room on Smartbidnet.com. The scopes being sought for this project are as follows:

3-32 Elevators - 0% LBE Requirement
3-38 Process Pipe, Process Equipment Install, Pipe Rack Steel - 20% LBE Requirement
3-40 Overhead Cranes - 20% LBE Requirement
3-41 Stacked Tray Grit Removal Equipment - 0% LBE Requirement
3-42 Grit Washing and Dewatering Equipment - 0% LBE Requirement
3-43 Horizontal Recess Impeller Centrifugal Pumps (Grit Pumps) - 0% LBE Requirement
3-44 Mechanical Fine Screens - 0% LBE Requirement
3-45 Screening Washer Compactor - 0% LBE Requirement
3-46 Screening Shuttle Trolley Hoppers - 0% LBE Requirement
3-47 Grit Storage Hoppers - 0% LBE Requirement
3-48 Biological Odor Control System - 0% LBE Requirement
PROJECT SCHEDULE: Currently this work is scheduled to commence in the Summer of 2020.
PRE-QUALIFICATION OF PROSPECTIVE SUBCONTRACTORS: The Owner has determined that subcontractors who submit bids to Sundt/Walsh on this Project must be pre-qualified. Those subcontractors who pre-qualify will be allowed to bid on the above Scope of Work.
Interested firms may obtain Pre-qualification Documents on the Smartbidnet.com website or by contacting David Cooley, via e-mail at dcooley@sundt.com. All prequal documentation must be submitted by August 16, 2019.
LOCAL BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (LBE) REQUIREMENTS: The following project-wide LBE participation requirement is: LBE-15%. Each Bid Package has a specific LBE requirement as indicated above. Any proposals that fail to meet the Bid Package LBE requirement will be deemed non-responsive.
DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (DBE) REQUIREMENTS: All subcontractors are hereby notified that it is expected that work to be performed under this contract will be in full or in part financed by the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (SRF), administered by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) and the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB). Bidders shall comply with all applicable terms and conditions, special provisions, and reporting requirements, as set forth in these specifications, and as may be required by federal law, rule, or regulation. Additionally, meeting the project-wide Fair Share Objective is encouraged: MBE-6.4%, WBE-2.0%. Refer to Contract Section 00 48 10.01, Paragraph 2 for more information.
PRE-BID MEETING DATE: A prebid meeting will be held on July 29, 2019 at 10:00 am. The location will be the Contractor Assistance Center, 150 Executive Park Blvd #1300, San Francisco, CA 94134.
BID DUE DATE: All bid documents must be submitted no later than September 16, 2019 by 2:00 p.m, California Time.
