Project Description
The objective of the project to construct a new underground 840,000-gallon reinforced concrete reservoir and above-ground pump station within Golden Gate Park, adjacent to the existing GGP Central Pump Station site. The new recycled water pump station will include four (4) 100 horsepower pumps (3 duty + 1 standby), two (2) 8,500-gallon hydropneumatic tanks, associated pipeline, valves, ventilation, and electrical and instrumentation & controls systems. The new recycled water pump station and reservoir will serve Lincoln Park and the Presidio. The work is to be performed in San Francisco, California. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.

Bid discounts may be applied as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B.There will be no bid discounts for this contract. The LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement is 17.00% and ONLY San Francisco (Local) Small & Micro-LBEs can be utilized to meet this requirement (Firms certified by SF Contract Monitoring Division). SFPUC-LBEs cannot be utilized to meet the 17.00% LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement. Please contact Jason Chow at (415) 554-3103 for further information. The LBE subcontractor participation requirement for this Contract is less than 20% for the following reasons: The work involves a significant amount of specially manufactured equipment, including distribution pumps, flow meters, valves, and hydropneumatic tanks, as well as specialty architectural items. Additional specialized services include electrical system, instrumentation, and security system commissioning services. Please refer to Section 01 60 00 in the Specifications regarding the purchase of equipment to achieve the LBE  subcontracting participation requirement.

A DVD version of the bidding documents, plans, and specifications, and available project information is available by mail or at 525 Golden Gate Avenue, 1st Floor, Customer Service Desk, San Francisco, CA 94102 for a nonrefundable $10.00 fee paid by check payable to "SFPUC." Hard copy versions of the plans and specifications are only available by mail or by appointment for pick up for an additional fee of $240.00.
