The objective of the project is to provide interim repairs to the Mountain Tunnel lining during winter 2018-2019 shutdown, including concrete tunnel lining repairs, contact grouting, tunnel invert smoothing, concrete invert paving, removal of debris from rock trap, ground penetrating radar investigation of grouting, downhole video camera reading of second Garrote shaft. In addition, water diversion and treatment, staging areas, access road clearing, temporary utilities, ventilation, and communications for tunnel work, in-tunnel surveys, and support for special inspections. The work is to be performed in Tuolumne County, CA.
There is no LBE subcontracting requirement for this project; however, bids from certified LBE primes, including SFPUC-LBE primes (see San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B), will be eligible to receive bid discounts. The City encourages bidders to use San Francisco Local Certified Small and Micro-LBEs to the extent possible. The City also encourages bidders to use regional SFPUC-LBEs, including but not limited to those in San Joaquin and Toulumne Counties. Please contact Jason Chow at 415-554-3103 for CMD related issues.

To request to receive plans, specifications and bidding documents by mail, a Contractor should mail the request to: SFPUC- Contract Admnistration Bureau, 8th floor at 525 Golden Gate Ave. San Francisco, CA 94102. The request should include the original, signed Confidentiality Agreement, appropriate payment amount, FedEx number, business card, contractor License number and return shipping information.
