The objective of the project is to rehabilitate portions of Moccasin Penstock by replacing steel pipe sections, encasing concrete anchor blocks, recoating penstock portions, and installing a electric valve actuators. The work is to be performed in Tuolumne, California.
Please note: The Engineer's estimate for the base work is $6,514,000. The Engineer's Estimate for all work including the additive alternate bid items is $8,047,000.
Bid discounts may be applied as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B. The LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement is 10.00%. Both San Francisco Small & Micro-LBEs and SFPUC-LBEs (Firms certified by SF Contract Monitoring Division) can be utilized to meet this requirement. The LBE sub-consulting participation requirement for this project is less than 20% because the Project is remote to San Francisco and requires specially manufactured items such as the items such fabrication of the large diameter penstock sections, bifurcation, air release valves, and valve actuator.
