Project Description

Please be advised that a second, optional site visit will be given on October 5, 2017 at 9AM. If you are interested, please meet the group in the Amin Lobby of the Oceanside Treatment Plant Building 930 at 3500 Great Highway (enter from Great Highway, not Skyline). Please bring your own PPE.

The objective of the project is to selectively perform hazardous paint mitigation, perform mechanical equipment demolition, including scum breaker pumps, replace existing deficient and deteriorated sediment traps assemblies, digester overflow anti-siphon vacuum relief valves, digested sludge recirculation pump-motor assemblies, dewatering day tank grit suspension pumps, associated piping and pneumatic actuated valves. The work is to be performed in San Francisco, California.

Bid discounts may be applied as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B. The LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement is 20.00% and ONLY San Francisco (Local) Small & Micro-LBEs can be utilized to meet this requirement (Firms certified by SF Contract Monitoring Division). SFPUC-LBEs cannot be utilized to meet the 20.00% LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement. Please contact Jason Chow at 415 554-3103 for further information.

Subcontracting opportunities may include, but not limited, to the following major types of work: C-10 General Electrical Contractor, C-33 Painting and Decorating Contractor, C-34 Pipeline Contractor, C-36 Plumbing Contractor, trucking and hauling, hazardous materials contractor, electrical equipment and supplies, painting equipment & supplies, and pipes, valves, & fitting supplies. Please refer to Section 01 60 00 in the Specifications regarding the purchase of equipment to achieve the LBE subcontracting participation requirement.

Hard copy versions of plans, specifications and bidding documents are available at 525 Golden Gate Avenue, 1st Floor, Customer Service Desk, San Francisco, CA 94102 for a non-refundable $150.00 fee paid by cash or by check payable to “SFPUC.” Call (415) 551-4603 for further information. The hard copy plans and specs will come bundled with a CD that for an additional $10 contains essential reference documents. A contractor, who is requesting plans & specs by mail should send a request with the original, signed Confidentiality Agreement, appropriate payment amount, FedEx #, business card, contractor license # and return shipping information to: Contract Administration Bureau at 525 Golden Gate Avenue, 8th floor, San Francisco, CA 94102.
