Project Description

The treatment process includes membrane filtration, reverse osmosis treatment, and ultraviolet (UV) light disinfection. The work includes the construction of a new multi-story reinforced concrete building to house the new equipment, new electrical substation, the construction of a secondary effluent pump station within the existing Oceanside Plant, a new transmission pump station, associated mechanical piping, utilities relocation, demolition and reconfiguration of the existing chemical storage room, and other associated work to provide a fully functional treatment and pumping system. The work is to be performed in SF, CA.

This contract requires bidder pre-qualification by the SFPUC. Only contractors who have successfully completed the pre-qualification process for the applicable category of work, as posted at http://sfwater.org/pre-qualify will be allowed to submit bids for this contract. The applicable pre-qualification category for this Contract is Wastewater Treatment Facility.

The LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement is 20% and ONLY San Francisco (Local) Small & Micro-LBEs can be utilized to meet this requirement (Firms certified by SF Contract Monitoring Division).  SFPUC-LBEs cannot be utilized to meet the 20% LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement. Please contact Marcus Lange at (415) 554-3106 for CMD related issues.

Hard copy versions of plans, specifications and bidding documents are available at 525 Golden Gate Avenue, 1st Floor Customer Service Desk San Francisco, CA 94102 for a non-refundable $310 fee paid by cash or by check payable to “SFPUC.” The hard copy plans and specs will come bundled with a CD that contains essential reference documents. A contractor, who is requesting plans & specs by mail should send a request with the original, signed Confidentiality Agreement, appropriate payment amount, FedEx #, business card, contractor license # and return shipping information to: Contract Administration Bureau at 525 Golden Gate Avenue, 8th floor, San Francisco, CA 94102.

 

NOTE: The full set consists of 2 volumes of Plans and 3 thick volumes of Specifications packaged in a box that weighs about 25 lbs.

A second, optional site visit will be held at OWPCP on Thursday, February 9 at 10:30AM.
