The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (the “SFPUC”) is issuing this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) in search of candidates (“Candidates”) who have the necessary qualifications as set forth in this RFQ to be pre-qualified to respond to the forthcoming bid to develop a dry-year water supply project for the SFPUC’s regional water system. Whether a Candidate has such qualifications will be determined through the evaluation process described in Section 3(c) of this RFQ. Candidates chosen through this process (“Qualified Contractors”) will be notified of their eligibility to submit bids for construction services in conjunction with the Project. Only Qualified Contractors will be eligible to submit a bid for construction services. Candidates responding to this RFQ do so with the understanding that they are not guaranteed the awarding of contracts and work. The SFPUC sees to pre-qualify general contractors with emphasis on demonstrated experience in the following areas:

• Multi-disciplinary work involving multiple headings,

• Pump stations, and

• Groundwater supply projects.
