The objective of the project is to provide monthly elevator maintenance and as-needed repair for elevators located at all Water Supply and Treatment facilities. The work is to be performed in San Mateo and Alameda Counties. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. The Engineer's estimate is $350,000.00. The contract will be awarded to the responsible Bidder submitting the lowest responsive bid.
SFPUC encourages Bidders to submit a Safety Prequalification Form at least 3-weeks prior to Bid due date. Bidders are required to pass the Safety Prequalification prior to SFPUC considering their bid submission complete. SFPUC will notify Bidders who have passed the Safety Prequalification prior to or on the Bid due date. Refer to Section 00 21 13 – Instructions to Bidders, “Bidder Qualifications” and Section 00 45 12 – Safety Prequalification for additional information.
A Class “C11” California Contractors License is required to bid. Furthermore, each listed subcontractor must possess appropriate active licenses for the work each subcontractor will be performing.
Bid discounts may be applied for certified LBEs as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B; however, there is no LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement for this project. Please contact Jason Chow at 415-554-3103 for further information.
Interested Bidders are encouraged to attend by remote means a teleconference pre-bid and contractor networking conference to be held on December 22nd at 10:30 A.M. An optional site visit will occur on Wednesday, December 30th beginning at 1pm at Sunol Valley Water Treatment Plant, 8653 Calaveras Road, Sunol CA 94586, followed immediately by a site visit at Harry Tracy Water Treatment Plant, 2901 Crystal Springs Road, San Bruno, CA 94066. Standard safety standards will be observed, including a temperature screening upon entry, social distancing of at least 6 feet, and wearing masks.
