The RFQ submission period closed on 8/29/19. Documentation with preliminary specifications from the upcoming Request for Bids is available for the following equipment: Gas-Insulated Switchgear, Liquid-Filled Utility Transformers, Medium-Voltage Metal-Clad Switchgear. To request this documentation, email qbd@sfwater.org the following: Contract No. DB-130, firm name, full address, phone number, copy of contractor’s license or business card, and a copy of a government-issued identification.

INITIAL ADVERTISEMENT FOR RFQ:
The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (“SFPUC”) is issuing this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) in search of candidates pre-qualified to respond to forthcoming Request(s) for Bids (“RFB”) in DB-130, Bay Corridor Transmission and Distribution – Phase 3 (2019) (the “Project”) pursuant to Administrative Code Subsection 6.61(b), “Competitive Bid Procurement.”
The SFPUC seeks to pre-qualify Design-Builder Teams with demonstrated experience in design and construction of public utilities including electrical conduits, electrical gas-insulated substations, electrical cable and switch installation, and inter-connection to high-voltage GIS switchgear. Design-Builder Teams must have experience in constructing projects that used an alternative delivery method. All design work must be performed under direction of, and sealed by, professional engineers licensed by the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists. All construction work must be performed by entities licensed by the California Contractors State License Board.
The SFPUC will follow the evaluation process described in Section 6.0 of this RFQ. The SFPUC will notify Pre-Qualified Design-Builder Teams of their eligibility to submit bids in response to RFB. Only Pre-Qualified Design-Builder Teams will be eligible to submit a bid in response to any given RFB. The SFPUC may require each Pre-Qualified Design-Builder Team to submit additional and separate technical qualification questionnaire(s) in a subsequent RFB. The requirements contained in this RFQ are subject to change; SFPUC will include any changes in the RFB.
